Maximize your project’s safety and efficiency with the VMD 205 Fire-Retardant PU Foam (750ml). This professional-grade, one-component polyurethane foam is engineered to provide superior fire resistance, carrying a B1 classification (according to DIN 4102-1) for excellent fire-retardant performance.
VMD 205 is the ideal solution for sealing and insulating gaps where fire safety is a priority. It creates a robust barrier against fire, smoke, and gas, offering peace of mind in residential and commercial applications.
Key Features:
B1 Fire-Retardant Class: Tested and certified to meet high standards for fire resistance (according to DIN 4102-1), providing critical fire protection.
Effective Fire and Smoke Seal: Prevents the spread of fire, smoke, and toxic gases through joints and penetrations.
Versatile Application: Ideal for installing and insulating window and door frames, sealing cable and pipe penetrations in walls and floors, and filling cavities.
High Thermal and Acoustic Insulation: Improves energy efficiency and reduces noise transmission.
Strong Adhesion: Bonds effectively to most common building materials, including concrete, brick, wood, metal, and plaster.
Easy to Use: Packaged in a standard 750ml aerosol can for convenient application with a straw or gun (check label for application method, typically straw grade is specified, otherwise state “gun-grade available”).
Controllable Expansion: Allows for precise filling and minimal wastage.
Applications:
- Fire-rated door and window installations.
- Sealing service penetrations (pipes, cables, ducts) in fire-rated walls.
- Gap filling in walls, ceilings, and roofs where fire resistance is required.
- Insulating around electrical outlets and fixtures in fire-separated zones.
Usage Instructions:
1. Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of grease.
2. Shake the can well before use (approx. 20-30 times).
3. Moistening the surface lightly with water can speed up curing.
4. Attach the straw applicator or screw the can onto the foam gun.
5. Invert the can for application and apply the foam efficiently, typically filling joints by about 50-60%, as the foam expands.
6. Trim excess foam after curing (approx. 24 hours, depending on temperature and humidity).
7. Clean the nozzle and valve after use.
Important: Read the full product label and safety data sheet (SDS) before use. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves and safety glasses.
Storage Instructions:
Store upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Keep out of reach of children and use in well-ventilated areas.
