Scotch® Linerless Rubber Splicing Tape 130C (19mm) is a premium-grade, highly conformable, self-fusing Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR) high-voltage insulating tape. Because it is linerless, it allows for much faster installation since there is no paper or plastic backing to peel off and discard during application.
Primary Applications
Cable Jointing & Splicing: Used as primary insulation for splicing and terminating wires and cables up to 69 kV.
Moisture Sealing: Creates an immediate, void-free, water-tight seal for outdoor terminations, motor leads, and electrical connections.
Bus Bar Insulation: Provides premium mechanical cushioning and electrical insulation for industrial bus bars.
Jacket Repairs: Excellent for heavy-duty jacket repairing on medium to high-voltage cable runs
How to Apply
Tacky Side Up: Hold the roll so that the outside of the tape faces down as you apply it (tacky side facing up). This keeps the roll close to your work surface.
Highly Elongate: Stretch the tape continuously to at least 3/4 of its original width. In high-voltage or critical areas, stretch it just short of its breaking point to eliminate internal air voids.
Half-Lap Layers: Apply the tape in successive, level-wound, half-lapped layers.
Build Thickness: Continue wrapping until your buildup is 1 to 1.5 times the thickness
