Why Use CRC Urethane Isolation Red?
CRC Urethane Isolation Red is a professional-grade urethane conformal coating designed to protect electrical and electronic components from moisture, dust, corrosion, chemicals, and environmental contaminants. It forms a durable, flexible, non-conductive insulating film that enhances the reliability and service life of electrical equipment operating in demanding industrial environments. Manufactured for professional maintenance and repair applications, this coating delivers long-lasting protection while maintaining excellent electrical insulation properties.
The advanced urethane formula cures to form a tough protective barrier that seals out water and humidity while resisting abrasion, oils, and contaminants. The red formulation provides enhanced corrosion resistance and allows technicians to identify coated areas easily during maintenance and inspection. Its fast-drying properties simplify application, while the cured coating remains flexible to withstand vibration, thermal expansion, and mechanical stress without cracking or peeling.
Key Benefits
- Durable urethane conformal coating
- Excellent electrical insulation properties
- High dielectric strength and surface resistivity
- Protects against moisture, dust, corrosion, and chemicals
- Flexible, abrasion-resistant protective film
- Fast-drying with strong adhesion
- Operating temperature from -40°C to +120°C
- Red coating for improved corrosion protection and easy inspection
Typical Applications
CRC Urethane Isolation Red is ideal for protecting printed circuit boards (PCBs), electric motor windings, armature coils, transformer connectors, terminals, control panels, electrical boxes, housings, bus bars, solenoids, commutator ends, industrial tools, and electronic assemblies. It is widely used in industrial automation, electrical maintenance, power generation, manufacturing, automotive electronics, and repair workshops.
Directions for Use
Clean and degrease the surface thoroughly before application using a suitable electrical cleaner. Shake the aerosol well and apply two or more light, even coats instead of one heavy coat for maximum protection. Allow approximately 120 minutes between coats when the first coat becomes solvent dry. For the strongest adhesion, apply additional coats within 48 hours. The coating cures at room temperature over several days, or curing can be accelerated by heating at 60°C for 24 hours. After use, clear the spray valve by turning the can upside down and spraying until only propellant escapes. Apply only in well-ventilated areas and never use on energized equipment.
CRC Urethane Isolation Red provides outstanding electrical insulation, corrosion resistance, and environmental protection, making it an excellent solution for extending the life and reliability of electrical and electronic equipment in demanding industrial applications.
